The Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia opened a new merchandise store, The Market Merch, on Wednesday, Dec. 3. This holiday shopping destination added a dedicated space for Reading Terminal-themed gifts within the market building.

The Market Merch features items such as mugs, sweatshirts, hats, and tote bags, complementing products offered by the market's more than 80 existing merchants.

Two Philadelphia-based illustrators, Fabiola Lara and Sean Rynkewicz, were highlighted at the grand opening for their limited edition market-specific merchandise.

According to CBS News Philadelphia, Lara demonstrated her viral mini-print machines at the opening. She described Reading Terminal Market as a significant historic hub offering a taste of Philadelphia. "The market is so important to me because it's a hub where people can come to get a taste of Philadelphia," she stated during the grand-opening ceremony.

Rynkewicz's train-themed T-shirt design reflected his personal connection to the market and his professional journey. "I remember coming here in high school and just thinking how cool of a place it was, and so, to be here now, years later, is an honor, it's pretty fun," Rynkewicz told CBS News Philadelphia.

Shoppers can also visit the market to purchase the 2025 Reading Terminal Market holiday ornament. It is available while supplies last. Sales from the shop benefit the Reading Terminal Market Corporation, a Philadelphia nonprofit.

The Reading Terminal Market operates daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
