Cup O’ Joy – Here’s How North Pole, Alaska Celebrates Christmas All Year Long
While the holiday season is over for most of us, Alaskans are still celebrating at the North Pole.
The town of 2,000 celebrates Christmastime year round. They received 450,000 Santa letters throughout year. Local students and volunteers help Santa with the work-load of answering the letters and pass the messages along to him.
All year long, the city street lights are candy canes, firetrucks are decorated with wreaths, and the entrance to the town has the largest Santa statue. It stands at 52 feet high.
If you visit, you can sit on Santa’s lap even in the summertime! Santa really works 365 days a year!
