To celebrate its 100th birthday, Lowe’s is teaming up with their former associate and country star Kane Brown on something very special. Lowe’s will be taking part in 100 projects in communities across the United States this year.

People nationwide can nominate a hometown project in need through the 100 Hometownsprogram. Lowe’s will give 100 grants in June to help recipients compete projects to vastly improve their community. The projects are predicted to be completed this year.

Kane Brown is partnering with the company to help launch the program. The singer will be heading back to his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee where he once practiced singing in the aisles. Brown was once a customer service associate at the Hixson, Tennessee location.

“My community in Chattanooga has always been there for me, and I’m so excited to give back to my hometown this summer with Lowe’s,” Brown said.

Lowe’s and Brown will first help the East Lake Boys & Girls Club by making repairs and renovations.

“This club is incredibly special – despite facing many challenges in 2020 due to COVID, they still found meaningful ways to support and uplift kids and families during an incredibly difficult time for everyone,” said Brown.
