In 1999, Garth Brooks was having giant success in country music when he decided to switch things up. He created the rock star alter ego Chris Gaines whose image consisted of black bangs and eyeliner. He had hoped it would inspire a movie, but it never did once critics and fans did not welcome the role.
Well, it looks like Brooks is giving it another go!
During an “Inside Studio G,” Garth recently shared his plans to re-release “The Life of Chris Gaines” album. In addition, fans will also get material that was never released.
He says the goal is to release the album on vinyl and digitally adding, “You’re going to have it in every format you can possibly imagine. It’s coming…You’re going to have Chris Gaines stuff nobody’s ever heard before either. I love that project, so I’m excited.”
