Maren Morris’ will be crossing one off her bucket list with her 2021 Grammy Awards performance.
John Mayer will be joining “The Bones” singer live on stage in Los Angeles this Sunday, March 14th.
Morris’ shared an Instagram story yesterday confirming the collab. The story was a selfie of the pair with the text “We’ll see you at the Grammys.” Mayer’s official Instagram page was tagged.
Morris has performed at the Grammys on two other occasions but after meeting Mayer backstage in 2019, she says performing with him was high on her bucket list.
She is nominated in the Best Country Song category for “The Bones’. The song with Hozier was a 2020 hit and has spent more than 20 weeks atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
If she wins, it will be her second Grammy after her “My Church” win in 2017. Maren has been nominated for a Grammy every year since being an artist on Sony Music Nashville.
Some of the other country artists performing will be Mickey Guyton, Miranda Lambert, and Brandi Carlile.
The 2021 Grammy Awards hosted by Trevor Noah will air Sunday on CBS at 8PM ET.
