I hope you enjoy this gallery and get as giddy as I was when taking these pictures. Although I did not see Roy, Keeley, or the Beard, I did see some unique and amazing photos of them in the shops around town. Enjoy!
Who Is Ted Lasso?
If you don't know who Ted Lasso is, I suggest you use the fall season to cozy up under a blanket with a cup of tea and binge the 3-season complete series. Ted Lasso, a football coach from Kansas going through a divorce, is looking for a change in his life when a minor league London soccer team in Richmond hires an American football coach to drive them to success. It's an absolute feel-good series with British accents, Jason Sudeikis, and tons of comedy. Have I sold you yet?
Is Richmond A Real Place?
YES! Ted Lasso actually filmed on the streets of Richmond, London. You can see this real town in any exterior scene such as, when Ted leaves his apartment when he walks through "the green", and any scenes outside of Mae's Pub! Yes, Mae's pub actually exists. However, the inside of the pub is filmed in a separate location in a controlled studio.
In the series, Mae's Pub is called "The Crown and Anchor, " when the pub's actual name is "The Prince's Head." It is a fully functioning pub and a great place to grab a drink or maybe a Sunday dinner roast just like I did.
Rent An Airbnb Inside Mae's Pub
You can actually stay inside of a pub. The beer-drinker in me found this very tempting. Now when you're renting an Airbnb that has been promoted to the show, you expect that it will be completely decorated just like the series. Well, there is no disappointment there. Take a look at the Airbnb here.
