Another beautiful Christmas Village in Philadelphia and Jeff Kurkjian, from 92.5 XTU, hosted the Red Kettle Kickoff for the Salvation Army in the middle of it all! Look how amazing the season looks on Philadelphia.

Click here to donate to the Salvation Army! Here’s more about the cause according to their website.
“Your gift to The Salvation Army supports local families this season and beyond. Challenges that families face don’t end when the holidays do and when you give monthly, each hard-earned dollar goes further, and you are able to make a greater impact in your community. So you can put a present under someone’s tree today and a roof over someone’s head tomorrow.”
We were joined by the Eagles Drumline, the Salvation Army Brass Band, public servants, sponsors and Christmas lovers alike to celebrate the kickoff to the giving season. Sometimes this season can get bogged down with all of the gifts that we are getting when we have to remember to GIVE back to those who are in need.
I was so excited to play Charades on stage with some kiddos and Wingston (the Wings mascot), Chipper (mascot of Herr’s Chips) and even one of Santa’s reindeer showed up to! See the photos below.
What Is The Salvation Army?
They are an international organization that focuses on helping people on the smallest level, in our towns and cities! Check out their Mission Statement below.
“The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.”
