If you have been lucky enough to meet Russell Dickerson, you are just that. LUCKY! The guy is an absolute gem and his voice ain’t too bad either. The guy can make the ABC song into a hit. He is just an all-around great dude and a great performer.

XTU has gotten to work with Russell Dickerson a few times in the past. He was the opener for our Anniversary Show in 2022 with Tim McGraw. He did a special VIP Soundcheck Experience where Andie Summers got to interview him on stage and then he performed a few songs for some XTU winners. I just remember my wife and her best friend walking out of the Soundcheck experience saying how big of a fan they are of him. The guy just gets it!
Then, we hit the jackpot when Russell Dickerson and his record label agreed to have him be the special guest at our Annual Nurses Celebration. Our 2nd Annual Nurses Celebration happened in April of 2023 at the Ardmore Music Hall. Russell did an interview with Jeff Kurkjian and Andie Summers on stage and then performed a variety of hits. The coolest part of all of this was he took questions from the crowd and even took requests. Our boss Razz took me (Donnie), Andie Summers, Jeff Kurkjian, and Shannon from The Andie Summers Show up to his dressing room to meet him. Let’s just say he is one of the coolest dudes ever. He sat on the couch and literally chatted with us for about 30 minutes. I was getting nervous because I was running the whole event and kind of just left the event for a half hour to chill with RD. I call him RD now because we are super tight. Haha! Kidding!
