When will the Phillies get Bryce Harper back? Much earlier than expected it seems. Fans in Philadelphia should be ELATED right now!
The former Most Valuable Player underwent Tommy John surgery back on November 23rd. This would be just over a five month recovery which is pretty much unheard of for that procedure.

When Is Bryce Harper Back??
Matt Gelb, who writes for The Athletic Philadelphia, said he is seeing the doctor Monday morning, May 1st and may be cleared for action as early as Tuesday, May 2nd. That's when they start their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

If you remember, Harper has been actually rehabbing and working at his skills as a first basemen as well to desperately fill a need for the team. Here's a video from Tim Kelly of Phillies Nation.
What Are The Chances Though?
The understanding is that since Harper's doctor is on the west coast, this actually is the perfect opportunity to see him, get cleared, and play in Los Angeles. But is it too soon? The team plays Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday against the Dodgers but why not come home first?
The Phillies play against the Boston Red Sox in Philadelphia for a three game series starting on Friday, May 5th. Is it better just to wait?
