May is when the flowers bloom, the trees are green, and the weather is warm and sunny. It's a time to look forward to the summer months ahead, but not without celebrating your birthday first!

The month of May calls for many celebrations. Mother's Day is a time to show appreciation for all our moms do, which is A LOT. It's a time to thank them with cards, flowers, and quality time. However you choose to celebrate your mom, grandmom, or aunts, just tell them how much you love and appreciate them. (This is your reminder to get Mom a gift.)

We remember our fallen soldiers who died while serving in the United States armed forces on the last Monday of the month. We honor these men and women on Memorial Day with parades and flying the American flag. No matter how you choose to honor the fallen, take a moment to remember their sacrifice. They gave their lives for our freedom, and we owe them a debt of gratitude that we can never repay.

Finally, the school year is over, and it's time to start the summer. Students and teachers have worked hard all year and deserve time at the beach, on a flyaway vacation, or simply relaxing. For all the students and teachers closing out the school year, be proud of all you've accomplished this year.
