George Strait shared a post on social media honoring officers on “National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day”, posting a snippet of his song "Weight of the Badge" and asked his followers to tag “someone in law enforcement who you believe carries the weight of the badge”.
George Strait debuted the music video for "Weight of the Badge" on National First Responders Day in October 2021. The video features first responders and their families sharing their personal stories, while Strait sings about the sacrifices they make.
