And (finally) we can breathe easy because the man who wants out of Philly is gone. The James Harden trade from the Philadelphia 76ers involves quite a few players and details. Find out where he is getting traded, the players involved, and more below.

We had to chat about this on The Andie Summers Show this morning

James Harden Traded To The 76ers

Back in February of 2021, a massive trade brought James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers. They received Harden and Paul Millsap, while the Brooklyn Nets sent Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond. That trade happened only 13 months after the Nets received Harden in a trade. He was set to create a super team with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

2023 Playoff Run

The Philadelphia 76ers made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Semi-finals where they were ultimately beaten by the Boston Celtics. The Denver Nuggets ended up winning their franchise’s very first championship!

Asking To Be Traded Away

He’s done this before, many times in fact. He did it to get out of Houston, to get out of Brooklyn and now he wants to get out of Philadelphia. But in wanting to leave Philly, he took shots at Daryl Morey, President of the Philadelphia 76ers. Scott Van Pelt spoke about it on ESPN in detail during SportsCenter.

This was such a trending story but it seemed like there wasn’t a trade that was going to happen. But now, that seems a lot different confirming this morning (Tuesday, October 31st, 2023) that he will no longer be a member of the team.

James Harden Trade Details

We have all of the details to break this down. Seven total players are involved in this trade between two teams along with four picks and a pick swap as well. The details you are craving to know are below. Check it out and go 76ers!

  • James Harden Is A Key Piece Of This Trade

SCROLL TO FIND OUT WHAT TEAM HE WILL BE TRADED TO: The 76ers guard is the key part of this big time trade. He averaged 21 points in the 2022-2023 season. He also dished out over ten assists a game last season as well. That’s impressive. No longer a 76er.

  • P.J. Tucker Is Gone

He has spent time with a lot of teams. Phoenix, Milwaukee, Toronto, Miami, Houston, Philadelphia and now a brand new team! He averaged 3.5 points last season. That is down big time from his just over seven points a game the day before.

  • New Additions: Marcus Morris

The 76ers have seen a lot of Morris over the years. He’s been in the league since 2011. He’s played for the Rockets, Suns, Pistons, Clippers and the Knicks as well. He will be a good veteran presence on the team!

  • Also New (Kinda): Robert Covington

A ten year veteran of the league, this could be a nice addition. Fans will remember that he actually played for the 76ers from 2014-2019 and he is BACK! His last season in Philly he averaged just over eleven points per game.

  • KJ Martin

Not much on this player joining the 76ers but now I feel old cause he was born on January 6th of 2001. Woah.

  • Also The 76ers Will Get...

A 2028 unprotected first-round pick, two second-round picks, a 2029 pick swap, and an additional first-round pick that’ll be routed from a third team, sources told ESPN. That’s going to bolster the future of this team, that’s for sure. Best of luck to Harden moving forward with his new team.

  • James Harden Is Now A Los Angeles Clipper

Yep, you head it right. He will be joining Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook on this brand new super team out of the west. Last year, the Clippers lost to the Phoenix Suns in the playoffs in their first round.

  • The New LA Clippers!

Will they be contenders this season to win it all? With Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook, this team was already good. Then, James Harden joined. Are you kidding? This team would’ve been amazing in 2015, now, I’m not sure if they have it.
