The 2024 World Series is quite literally 50 weeks away so why are we talking about it? Well, that's because of the way too early odds for winners of next season have already been released. Where does it have the Phillies? We think you may be surprised.

Phillies Lose In NLCS

This was a tough finish to what was an exciting season. The Phillies started off on a bumpy road. New signing, Trea Turner, took a lot of time to get going but from August to the end of the season, he was the player that we all hoped he could be.

Bryce Harper played first base for a large portion of the season (post All-Star Break) and that changed this team around as well. But all of that wasn’t enough to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Championship Series. After winning the first two games at home, they lost back-to-back games on the road only to go up 3-2 in the series heading home for games six and (possibly) seven.

Phillies 2024 Season

There are a lot of unanswered questions including, what will happen to the free agents that may or may not be signed by the Philadelphia Phillies? We have broken that down for you below.

When it comes to the coaching staff, a lot of fans have blamed the loss of the series on Manager Rob Thomson and are upset with his performance in the postseason. This fan’s perspective is that you need your stars to hit and they just didn’t hit at the end of the NLCS, that’s a fact. Two coaches from the 2023 team will no longer be a part of the organization.

2024 World Series Odds

This is what everybody wants to know, what are the odds for each team to win the 2024 World Series? Here's the top ten according to Caesar's Sportsbook.

10) Seattle Mariners

The Mariners were a really fun team to watch at the end of the season. They just narrowly missed the playoffs but made it to the top ten for next year's odds to win the World Series They are +2000 to win the 2024 World Series.

9) Toronto Blue Jays

Three American League East teams are making the top ten and the Blue Jays are the first we are going to see. They got swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Twins. Maybe they get revenge next year? They are +1800 to win the 2024 World Series.

8) New York Yankees

I find it interesting that they are this high. They had a pretty bad end to the season and pretty much gave up. However, the Yankees are always in it! So don't sleep on them I guess. They are +1600 to win the 2024 World Series.

7) Tampa Bay Rays

An American League East player who always is in the mix. They didn't make it out of the Wild Card round this postseason. They lost to the eventual World Series Champion Texas Rangers. They are +1400 to win the 2024 World Series.

6) Baltimore Orioles

This was an amazing, yet sad season for the Orioles. They won the American League East for only the second time in the 21st century. Yet, they faltered in the American League Division Series. They are +1400 to win the 2024 World Series.

5) Houston Astros

The arch-rivals of the Phillies (in my opinion) are not as favored to win it all. They beat the Phillies in 2022 to win the World Series. They lost to the Rangers in the American League Division Series. They are +1100 to win the 2024 World Series.

4) Philadelphia Phillies

Here are our boys! Fourth most likely to win the 2024 World Series. They played in the series back in 2022, missed it by one game in 2023 and now, they are the fourth most favored team for 2024. They are +1000 to win the 2024 World Series.

3) Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers got swept by the eventual National League winners, the Arizona Diamondbacks, in the 2023 National League Division Series. A disappointing finish to a pretty great season. Yet they are close to the top for next season! They are +900 to win the 2024 World Series.

2) Texas Rangers

Yep, you heard it here first! The defending champs, the winners of the 2023 World Series, have the second highest odds to win the 2024 World Series. They are +800 to win the 2024 World Series.

The Atlanta Braves have been atop the National League East the last six seasons. They won the World Series back in 2021. They also won over 100 games the last two seasons. They are +700 to win the 2024 World Series.
