ABC’s hit show Shark Tank is back for it’s 15th season and a Philadelphia Billionaire is set to appear as a guest shark for the upcoming season. The all-new season of “Shark Tank” premieres Friday, Sept 29 on ABC, and you can also stream on Hulu.
In case you aren’t familiar, here is the description of the show:
Budding entrepreneurs get the chance to bring their dreams to fruition in this reality show from executive producer Mark Burnett. They present their ideas to the sharks in the tank — five titans of industry who made their own dreams a reality and turned their ideas into lucrative empires. The contestants try to convince any one of the sharks to invest money in their idea. When more than one of the sharks decide they want a piece of the action, a bidding war can erupt, driving up the price of the investment.
It’s crazy that Shark Tank is on Season 15 already and to think how many products have been pitched over the years. Some of the most successful brands at Bombas socks, which I have and are awesome. Scrub Daddy, which is based in Pennsauken, NJ, is not only a great cleaning product but also has a hilarious social media presence. Squatty Potty, which helps people go number 2 easier, is also a very successful Shark Tank brand, as well as Tipsy Elves, which is known for their hilarious ugly Christmas Sweaters.
All the original sharks are back – Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary. They all seem to really enjoy each other and seem like friends outside of the show. Since “Shark Tank” has been on air for 15 seasons, there have been a lot of different “guest sharks.” Such as Sara Blakley, the founder of Spanx, Candace Nelson, the founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes (which are the best cupcakes ever), and even Gwenyth Paltrow. It’s fun that we have a Philly billionaire repping this season. Hopefully, they make some good deals.
