Phillies Home Field Advantage
So the Phillies started their postseason off with a best-of-three series in Philadelphia as the top Wild Card seed. They played host to the Miami Marlins they who quickly swept them out of the playoffs. That was easy.
Phillies NLDS Matchup
The National League Division Series is a five-game series (first to win three games). The Los Angeles Dodgers, the two seed, will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks, two National League West rivals. And then, of course, the scared one seed, the Atlanta Braves will take our our Philadelphia Phillies.
Both the Braves and the Dodgers occupy home-field advantage. They will host games one and two, be on the road for three and four (if needed), and end a game five (also if needed) at home.
Phillies NLDS Game Times
Game 1: Saturday, October 7th – 6pm EST in Atlanta (Phillies Won 3-0)
Game 2: Monday, October 9th – 6pm EST in Atlanta
Game 3: Wednesday, October 11th – 6:07pm EST in Philadelphia
Game 4 (if necessary): Thursday, October 12th – 6:07pm EST in Philadelphia
Game 5 (if necessary): Saturday, October 14th – 6:07pm EST in Atlanta
Phillies Home Field Advantage For World Series
Here are the opponents the Phillies could face from the American League (and the two that would give them home-field advantage). If the Arizona Diamondbacks take down the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Phillies beat the Braves, the Phillies will have home-field advantage for the National League Championship Series so, GO DIAMONDBACKS!
Here are the American League opponents for a potential World Series matchup for the defending National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies
Baltimore Orioles

The O's are the number one-seeded team in the American League, finishing 101-61 for the 2023 regular season. They are facing off against the Texas Rangers in the American League Division Series. The Phillies will NOT have home-field advantage against the Orioles.

The Texas Rangers (as mentioned earlier) are taking on the Baltimore Orioles in the American League Division Series. If they get past the O's and the winner of the Twins/Astros series, they will make it to the World Series. The Phillies and the Rangers had the same regular season record (90-72) however the Rangers swept the Phillies in the three games they played them to start the season!
So the Rangers would have home-field advantage over the Phillies.
Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins only finished the season with 87 wins (which is less than the Phillies' 90 wins) so that means, if the Twins make it to the World Series, the Phillies would have home field advantage over the Twins!
Houston Astros

Yeah, the defending World Series champions (bleh, gross) but here's the good news. They also ended their regular season with 90 wins but the Phillies beat them in a three-game series back towards the beginning of the season giving them the advantage of HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE OVER THE ASTROS!

After sweeping those Marlins, they did BIG THINGS in terms of a celebration at home. Take a look at these photos.
