The 2023 Major League Baseball season is halfway through and baseball jersey sales have been through the roof. The top players of the game squared off during the 2023 MLB All-Star Game in Seattle and a lot of those players made the list of the Top 20 Baseball Jersey Sales this season!

We had to talk about this on The Andie Summers Show because we are all BIG baseball fans!

National League Wins ASG and Jersey Sales

The National League won the Midsummer Classic 2-1, the first time since 2012, and on this list, they hold more of the top 20 over the American League players.

The Major League Baseball All-Star Game had two Phillies representing our great city. Both Nick Castellanos and Craig Kimbrel.

Who Had The Most MLB Jersey Sales In 2022?

That we know the answer to last year thanks to Sports Illustrated. Mookie Betts was in the top spot last season, and he makes the list this year but not the top spot.

T-Mobile Home Run Derby

In fact, it’s the Atlanta Braves who beat out the Dodgers for most players in the top 20 this year. The Braves have four of the top 20 and the Dodgers have three on the list.

2023 MLB Jersey Sale

It’s been an exciting season of baseball. A faster-paced game with more home runs and runs scored than ever before so no wonder why sales are up! The list is based on sales from MLBShop.com of Nike jerseys since Opening Day and was originally reported by MLB.com.

Another Dodger, are we surprised? I feel like every season you are going to see a lot of these players on these lists because they sell jerseys big time. Freeman, a former Atlanta Braves player, has made a splash this season with the LA team. He just represented the Dodgers in the MLB All Star Game.

You had to know that this guy would be on the list, right? Don’t worry, his teammate is coming up soon. The Angels are only one game under .500 at the All Star break. They ended the first half of their season losing five straight and nine of their last ten games. They were in prime position earlier, hopefully they can amp up that energy once again.

He was a fan favorite at the All Star Game, which was held in Seattle this past week. The Mariners are just one game above .500 at the break and won seven of their last ten games to get themselves there and ahead of the Angels. Rodriguez has stolen 22 bases this season and knocked 12 balls out of the park.

  • 6. Mookie Betts, Los Angeles Dodgers

The former Boston Red Sox outfielder now plays many positions for the Dodgers. They have really turned things around in June winning seven of their last ten games when many felt that they were struggling. He’s batting .276 this season and leading the team with 26 homers. He represented the Dodgers in the Homerun Derby.

You had to know that this name would have to be on the list despite their early season struggles. 45 RBIs this season along with a .237 batting average, Altuve is off to a slower start than he’s accustomed to however, don’t ever count this team out.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – JUNE 03: Aaron Judge #99 of the New York Yankees on deck against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on June 03, 2023 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)

The first and only Yankees player on this top twenty list. After his monster homerun season last year (62) he’s looking to do it again but is off to a bit of a slow start with only 19 homers this season. The Yankees are seven games over .500 but still eight games behind the AL East leader.

  • 3. Fernando Tatis Jr., San Diego Padres

Los Angeles Angels v San Diego Padres

The Padres are in trouble this season but Tatis Jr. is rocking .288 batting average this year with 44 RBIs. He also is one of the most dynamic players in the league right now who was traded as a minor leaguer back in 2016 and has made his mark on the league.

  • 2. Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Angels

    Gatorade All-Star Workout Day

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – JULY 10: Shohei Ohtani #17 of the Los Angeles Angels looks on during Gatorade All-Star Workout Day at T-Mobile Park on July 10, 2023 in Seattle, Washington. (Photo by Steph Chambers/Getty Images)

  • 1. Ronald Acuña Jr., Atlanta Braves

    Gatorade All-Star Workout Day

Number 1 is another Atlanta Braves player, he’s second in Major League Baseball with a .331 batting average and has 21 homeruns this season. He represented Atlanta in Seattle for the Major League Baseball All Star Game. The right fielder is one of the biggest stars in baseball right now.

  • Where Are The Phillies?

    Washington Nationals v Philadelphia Phillies

That’s a great question! No Phillies players made the top twenty list of jerseys due in part to the slow start of the season for the Fightin’s. However, they are now seven games over .500 and if the season ended today, they would occupy a Wild Card spot so stay optimistic and buy those jerseys!
