What We Know
On Monday of June 11, 2023, a portion of I-95 heading northbound near the Cottman Exit collapsed due to a tanker truck fire parked underneath. Due to safety reasons, Pennsylvania State Police shut down the area going southbound too.
This has caused for extreme traffic detours, congestion, and headaches.
On Wednesday, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro spoke about the plans for reconstruction. There will be work done 24/7 until the overpass is completed. As for now, you can watch a live stream of the construction.
