One of the things we love about country music is just how personal it all is. From the songs to the relationship artists have with their fans, there’s nothing like it.
Take Keith Urban, for example. This guys is larger than life as far as his career goes, but when it comes to his fans, he’s just like them. An ordinary guy with an extraordinary gift and a big heart.
Recently, Keith was performing at a show when he saw a dad with his son on his shoulders. The little guy was holding a cardboard guitar and shredding along with Keith. At one point, Keith paused the show to acknowledge the little dude, who we learn is named Kellen. It was a sweet moment! And then Kellen’s dad leans into Keith to tell him:
“They said he would never walk or talk and now he knows all of your songs.”
Keith was just about brought to tears.
