Wow just in time for the most popular weekend down the shore, Wildwood is trying to stop any issues by banning alcohol on the beach and boardwalk for the upcoming summer season.

Ocean City has been dry for ages, Sea Isle City banned backpacks earlier this year. Seems like this all stems from the unruly teens the Jersey Shore has seen over the last few summers and people are over it. Numerous shore towns also have curfews for teens.

It’s a shame that people can’t act right because now all these new rules have to exist.

  • Ocean City Has Been Dry For Over 100 Years

Alcohol production and sales have been outlawed in Ocean City since 1909, a decade before Prohibition was ushered in nationwide on Jan. 17, 1920.
