In a statement on their website, the company said they had issued a voluntary recall on approximately 30,000 pounds of the product.
The recall comes after several people phoned the company and reported finding string like pieces of metal in their sausage links.
If you have a box of Jimmy Dean HEAT ’n SERVE Original SAUSAGE LINKS Made with Pork & Turkey, throw it away and call the company.
Approximately 2,845 boxes of sausage links are part of the recall.
People who purchased Jimmy Dean products are urged to check the packaging of products in their homes.
Packages affected contain codes: M19085 or P19085, and have a January 31, 2019 use by date. The UPC number is: ‘0-77900-36519-5.’
