Country stars love football and several stars have shared their thoughts on this year’s Super Bowl 53 and their general thoughts about the big day.

Brett Young shares his Super Bowl 53 pick saying, “In this case I don’t root for the L.A. team, so I’m inclined to root for the team that I’ve been jokingly rooting against for so many years. I don’t have a dog in the hunt. I do think it’s gonna be a good game but I don’t know how you bet against Tom Brady in the playoffs, especially with a young Rams team, so I guess it’s gonna be another Patriots Super Bowl.”

Keith Urban says of his wife Nicole Kidman bringing the sport to him, “She’s a big NFL fan, and she sort of turned me on to it.”

Luke Bryan talks about the best Super Bowl food, “Definitely Super Bowl is like the queso, the Frito Lay scoops with the Ro-tel situation. I guess it’s like, what’s the black-eyed pea stuff too? All of that, just stuff that you can sit there and have lots of sodium, and then just, it’s like Thanksgiving all over again.”

Sam Hunt pipes in on all the Super Bowl hype each year, “It’s become such a massive pop culture event. I love that they’ve incorporated music and entertainment with the sport itself and the entertainment value that comes from that. It encompasses just a strong representation of American culture. And I’m a huge music fan, obviously, and I’m a huge sports fan, so those are two of my favorite worlds combined there.”

Football obsessed Darius Rucker shares, “Ever since I was five years old, I’ve loved football, and I love how physical it is. I love the chess match of the game. I love the speed of the game. I love college football, but for me watching pro football is better because the speed is so much more. For me, there’s two times a year, man — football season and waiting for football season.”

Louisiana native Jordan Davis says, “I am looking forward to Super Bowl 53 to see if the greatness continues for the Brady-Belichik [team], even though I wish my Saints were in it. Who Dat?”

Super Bowl 53 airs on CBS Sunday at 5:30 ET.
