Strange New Netflix Show Turns Blind Dates into ‘Sexy Beasts’ (Watch Trailer)
The trailer for Netflix’s new dating series, “Sexy Beasts,” is out and it’s definitely bizarre.
According to Netflix, “Sexy Beasts is a new dating show where real-life singles sport elaborate makeup and prosthetics to put true blind-date chemistry to the test.”
The singles are completely covered from head to chest but can show their style through normal outfits.
As seen in the trailer, the makeup and prosthetics are meant to look like pandas, mice, aliens, beavers and multiple other non-human forms. The challenge is to form a connection with someone based off of personality and not looks.
Variety reports that viewers can count on at least two seasons of the unique show. The episodes will focus on one single with three beastly options. They will go on multiple dates and their faces will only be relieved once the single chooses their one true match.
The series is based on the 2014 BBC Three U.K. series with the same name. Netflix is no stranger when it comes to reality dating shows. The streaming service already has “Too Hot to Handle” and Love Is Blind.”
“Sexy Beasts” debuts July 21 on Netflix with six 30-minute episodes. The show is executive produced by Simon Welton.
