What Celebrity Companies Make The Most Money?
Celebrity companies are nothing new. Seemingly every celeb has one these days. However, which celebrity companies make the most money?
Whether we were aware of it or not, we’ve all probably used a product that’s a part of a celebrity’s company before. Maybe it was a beauty product, perhaps it was a beverage, or maybe it was a piece of technology. A new study says these are the celebrity companies that make the most money.
What Are The Most Profitable Celebrity Companies?
We all have our favorite celebrities or athletes and will do whatever we can to support them and their endeavors. Some of them are small businesses, while others are bringing in millions or even billions of dollars. More often than not, these celebrities don’t attach their names to their products so you might be loyal to some celebrity companies without even knowing it!
According to Arka’s new study, Dr. Dre’s Beats By Dre is at the top of the list of the most successful celebrity-owned businesses. The study says Beats By Dre brings in $1.5 billion in annual revenue. I knew it was successful and popular, but I had no idea they were bringing in that much money. I guess it makes sense when you see all the endorsements and how many celebrities and influencers choose to wear them. I would have thought their popularity would have died down by now with the rise of Apple AirPods and such. Evidently not! Not only are the headphones popular, but they’re also high-quality.
Next, Kim Kardashian’s Skims comes in second place, bringing in $750 million in revenue, per Arka’s study. In fact, the study says Skims has a higher search popularity at 4.2 million compared to Beats By Dre, which had 3.7 million. That shouldn’t be a surprise, given Kim’s popularity and success. People are often searching her name and products on Google. Skims is a very popular shapewear product, and Kim has done a great job marketing the brand and making it is what it is today.
Other celebrity-owned businesses that made the list include Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty which was the most searched brand on Arka’s study at 4.9 million searches. However, it came in fourth place for annual revenue at $582 million behind Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty which brought in $600 million in revenue.
Are You Loyal To Any Celebrity Companies?
Looking at Arka’s list, most of the companies are beauty products. However, that’s not the only business celebrities choose to pursue with their products and brands. George Clooney made a lot of money with his Casamigos tequila. 50 Cent made roughly $100 million after selling his stake in Vitamin Water. Then there are many other celebrities with businesses that are doing well in other fields.
Personally, I’m fiercely loyal to Seth Rogen and I have spent more money than I’d care to admit buying his Houseplant ashtrays. I have zero regrets. These ash trays are awesome and they go with the mid-century modern theme in which we’ve decorated our house. Sure, I’d support Seth no matter what, but I’d buy these ashtrays regardless of who’s behind them.
