WrestleMania 40 was a huge success in Philadelphia, and now you can own a piece of it!
Do you remember seeing all of the street pole banners that dotted Philadelphia leading up to WrestleMania 40? The city was HYPE to host wrestling’s main event. And it didn’t disappoint.
If you ever looked at those banners and wondered what it would take to grab one, you are in luck. The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau has an auction happening right now to sell each of the street pole banners.
There are 59 different banners and each one is up for grabs. You can bid online until Friday night at 11 when the auction closes.
At the time of posting, the auction had already raised close to $20,000. The money collected will benefit the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau Foundation which promotes Philadelphia’s tourism industry.
Did You See Who Showed Up to WrestleMania 40?
According to the Inquirer, WWE’s chief content officer called this year’s event in Philadelphia “the biggest WrestleMania of all time.” More than 145,000 people came to Lincoln Financial Field over two days to set a record for attendance. Hype was huge in Philly, but the WWE reports this event pulled fans from all 50 states and 64 countries.
And the term “fans” ranged from kids to adults to local and national celebrities. Jason Kelce, Swoop, Snoop Dawg, and more took to the stage to help usher in the mania of the WWE.
