Breaking: The Newest Sport Added to the 2024 Summer Olympics

Someone alert Shabba-Doo and Boogaloo Shrimp, because Breaking has been provisionally added to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Per NBC Sports, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) added Breaking, as well as Skateboarding, Sport Climbing and Surfing to the potential list of sports for the 2024 Olympic games. In a statement, IOC President Thomas Bach said, "They contribute to making the program more gender balanced and more urban, and offer the opportunity to connect with the younger generation. The proposed sports are in line with these principles and enhance Paris 2024’s overall dynamic Games concept, which focuses on inclusivity, inspiring a new audience and hosting socially responsible Games."

The IOC Executive Board will finalize the list of sports for the 2024 Olympic games in December 2020, so there's time for the IOC to change its mind. Hopefully, they don't because the world's best breakers representing their countries as they pop and lock their hearts out sounds ridiculously entertaining.
