[WATCH] Jake Owen’s Acting Debut in ‘Our Friend’

Jake Owen is making his acting debut this month in the film Our Friend which also stars Dakota Johnson, Casey Affleck, and Jason Segel.

The movie was filmed in Fairhope, Alabama and is based on a true story. The film follows the story of a husband whose best friend helps him care for his terminally ill wife.

Owen told PEOPLE he has always been intrigued by challenging himself to do things he isn't comfortable with.
