Toby Keith Sings Karaoke in an Uber

Toby Keith + Karaoke + Uber = Great Entertainment!

The great Toby Keith has been making his way back into the spotlight. He took a step back a few months ago as we learned he went through treatment for stomach cancer. Toby gives us the impression he's on the mend as he's been making appearances here and there (read on!)  ... including in an Uber recently.

I'm going to have to take more Ubers because I've never been in one with Karaoke. There are a few schools of thought when deciding to put a karaoke machine in your car.

1- You know the folks you pick up who have been drinking are going to grab that mic and sing their hearts out. Probably horribly.

2- You have your parents, like me, who would grab the mic just to embarrass my children. (Go ahead and judge me. It makes them stronger.)

3 - Then you have the single riders who haven't been drinking, but have the nerve to sing on their own. Those are the folks I would want to hear.

Toby Keith was also spotted with a microphone on stage at a LOCASH concert in Orlando. The duo got word that Toby was in attendance, so it would be rude if they didn't call him onstage for one of his own hits, right? Check it out HERE. Aaron, the person who posted the video, wrote:

And, in other Toby Keith news, the Big Dog Daddy will also make an appearance at the upcoming People's Choice Country Awards this fall to receive the inaugural "Country Icon" award. Fellow Oklahoman Blake Shelton will do the honors to present the award.

The awards show is an offshoot of the annual People's Choice Awards. Little Big Town will host the show from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on September 28th and you can watch it live on NBC at 8pm or stream it on Peacock.

Toby Keith's Surprise Concert After Year Of Battling Stomach Cancer

Last year, Keith revealed to fans that he had been secretly battling stomach cancer. In an Instagram post, he confessed,

Fans were obviously upset by this news and prayed for Toby's safe and fast recovery. The former football player immediately canceled any performances from that time on. Less than a year later, Keith surprised fans when he performed a 2 1/2 hour show in Hollywood Corners, a bar he owns in his home state of Oklahoma.

Even while Toby is battling cancer himself, he still has time to help the children fighting the same fight. The mission of The Toby Keith Foundation is to encourage the health and happiness of pediatric cancer patients and to support OK Kids Korral. The OK Kids Korral is a center for an entire family as their child receives cancer treatment.

Toby posted on Instagram a picture of him and his "writing buddy" Scotty Emerick saying,

We're so glad to see a smile on Toby's face. Although he may look a bit different since the last time we saw him perform, the 61 year-old did not disappoint with his on-stage presence. And don't worry, the red solo cup made an appearance as well. According to sources, there is talk that Keith and his team anticipate him to be back on the road again soon.
