The City of Philadelphia's Office of Innovation and Technology has introduced the Philly Free Wi-Fi Finder. This resource allows the public to find locations across the city that provide free Wi-Fi services.
By accessing the Wi-Fi Finder, individuals can discover places that provide free, public Wi-Fi access, including the following:
- All Free Library of Philadelphia locations
- Older adult centers
- Parks and city buildings, such as museums
- Recreation centers
The Wi-Fi Finder allows users to search for locations by ZIP code or identify which places have public Wi-Fi near them.
The Wi-Fi Finder is one of the latest investments Philadelphia has made in its efforts to provide continued access to reliable high-speed fiber broadband services for the community at various city buildings.
Since October 2024, the Office of Innovation and Technology and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation have been identifying and installing gigabit fiber and Wi-Fi at parks and recreation locations around Philadelphia. According to a statement by the City of Philadelphia, 51 of the more than 180 identified sites have been activated since October.
