Let’s relive the best weekend with 9 incredible backstage photos from Luke Combs’s Philadelphia shows. I can’t believe that they are over already! Luke has been in Philly since 2019 when he performed at the Wells Fargo Center and Morgan Wallen opened for him. I remember before Luke Combs even announced his tour to the public, I was sitting in a meeting back at the station in the winter and finding out that Luke was not only going back on tour but that he was going to be in Philly on my birthday! The way I gasped. Ha. Then Luke announced that he was going to be doing a Friday night show, too! So that means Luke Combs is in Philadelphia for a whole birthday weekend. Luke even hosted a free tailgate on Saturday for all of the fans. It was from 2 PM – 5 PM and 3 new country artists played the tailgate; Tyler Dial, Royael Lynn, and Wyatt McCubbin.

I was very grateful that I was able to go both nights. My friend had tickets for Friday night’s show and then I was going with the radio station on Saturday. I thought it was crazy at first because it was going to be 100 degrees outside, but it’s Luke Combs and I live close so why not. Now I had no idea it was going to storm on Friday and that Luke wouldn’t go on until 11:20p, but guess what, almost everyone stayed. I was like, “Am I really going to stay for this”? I said to myself, why not! Seeing Luke Combs perform in the rain on a summer night, why not? I also got to ring in my birthday during the concert while Luke was performing “Fast Car”! I mean what a moment. I also tied a garbage bag around my head so I would ruin my birthday blowout and it really did hold up nicely. I’m also glad I went both nights because even though he didn’t sing “Tattoo on a Sunburn” (WAH) on Friday he did sing “Still” and “Dive” which are two of my favorites and he didn’t perform those on Saturday night. And let’s not forget how Luke wore an Eagles hat on both Friday and Saturday nights. Such a nice touch.

  • The Radio Room Inside The Famous Eagles Club

This is where the “radio room” was located.  The radio room is for those working in country music, usually the program director, who is the boss of the radio station.  It’s a special room that’s set up inside the venue, usually backstage, where the artists come to say hello and chit chat a little.  The radio room at Luke’s show was held in the famous “Eagles Club” where fans get to stand and watch the Eagles walk from their locker room to the tunnel before they run out on the field.  It was so cool to be able to see it.

  • The Famous Eagles Tunnel

Right next to the Radio Room was the famous Eagles tunnel where the players run out onto the field.  You don’t realize how big backstage is until you are actually there.  We were able to walk from the radio room to the tunnel to the pit to watch the show up close.  I kept thinking, oh wow, this is what the Eagles do. Ha.

  • Luke Thanks Country Radio

There was this really cool backdrop in the radio room that was set up by Luke and his team. It’s so nice that Luke appreciates country radio and wanted to go above and beyond to thank us. It’s just funny how in the picture it looks like I’m in a Luke Combs sandwich.

  • Razz and Riley Green

Riley Green opened for Luke on Night 2.  I know a lot of people were bummed they didn’t get to see Riley Green or Lainey Wilson on night 1. Luke originally was only performing on Saturday night then he added Friday night shows after the fact, so that’s why Riley and Lainey only performed on Saturday night.

  • Nicole and Lainey Wilson

Lainey was so cool.  She spent a good 30 minutes or even more talking to everyone in the room.  She and I talked about makeup and her style and she said she loves that she just slaps on some makeup and throws together an outfit.  That’s the the cool thing about her style, she makes it look so effortless.

  • Razz and Lainey Wilson

Razz has known Lainey for a while so she was excited to see him.  It’s fun seeing Razz interact with artists because he’s been doing this for so long, they all know him.  Next time you see him out and about ask him about all of the country artists’ phone numbers he has.

Fun Fact, Lainey was at XTU’s Anniversary Show in 2021 and I interviewed her and Hardy before the show. She was just as cool on Saturday as she was back in 2021. Love that she still has that down to earth persona. Hopefully it stays that way as she continues to get more famous.

  • Razz and Luke Combs

If you look closely at the picture, you can see Razz is rocking a 925XTU pen on his lapel.  Ha!  Also, you can’t see it in this picture Razz is rocking his white Luke Combs crocs.  Luke was very impressed and Razz was smart because he was the only one who’s feet didn’t hurt.

Saturday was my birthday and as soon as I found out Luke was going to be in Philly on my birthday I wished I could meet him as my present. He really is one of my favorites and he hasn’t been here since 2019!  When I met him I said, “Luke, thanks so much for coming to my birthday party” and he said, “Oh we are HOSTING your party birthday!”

Here are some more pictures from my Instagram.  He also opened the show with my favorite song “Lovin On You” which clearly I was so excited about.  Saturday he played “Still” and “Dive” which are also two of my favs.
