Harry How / StaffOwen wasn't too happy he had to pay $29.99 to watch the match on pay-per-view, which he later found out many were able to watch for free, and was not impressed with the quality of golf from both players. So after a few drinks he decided to tell Mickelson how he felt.
“I was like, ‘Hey, Phil, you owe me f–king $29.99 for wasting four hours of my life with the s–ttiest golf I’ve ever seen,’” Owen said.
Owen recounts Mickelson responded by pulling out a $100 bill and said "Yeah I won 90,000 of these yesterday.’ He goes, ‘Take a 100 and go f— yourself!”
