Razz Recommended: Ashley McBryde ‘Girl Goin’ Nowhere’
From the Grammy nominated album Girl Going Nowhere from Ashley McBryde, the title track “Girl Goin’ Nowhere” is a song about living your dreams and staying true to yourself despite the negative people around you.
McBryde said in interviews she didn’t have support from her family when she started out. She has support from many people including President Barack Obama who listed the song as one of his favorites in 2018. Garth Brooks loved the song so much he reworked the lyrics in his song Guy Goin’ Nowhere.
She was voted new Female vocalist of the year at this year’s ACM awards.
