Wilmington, Delaware Deli Featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”
Maiale Deli and Salumeria was featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” on Friday night!
Guy Fieri AKA the Mayor of Flavortown drove his Camaro into Wilmington, DE and made a stop at Maiale for a Cuban sandwich and some homemade sausages. And the self proclaimed “Sausage King of Delaware” didn’t disappoint. Maiale means pork or pig in Italian and owner Billy Rawstrom knows a thing or two about swine. But if you’re expecting the typical Italian deli, Maiale will throw you for a loop. Fieri sampled the Castro which is House Cured Ham, Roast Pork, Swiss Cheese, Pickles and Dijonaise Sauce on Pressed French Bread. He also tried the Thai Curry Chicken Sausage Sandwich which includes Thai Curry Chicken Sausage, Siracha Mayo and Asian Sesame Slaw. Yum!
