The decor is retro on the outside.
It was such a sad day for diners here in the Delaware Valley when the Trolley Car Diner on Germantown Ave in Mt. Airy made the announcement of their closure in mid-October after 20 years in business.
However they are not gonna go away quietly. The Trolley Car Cafe will be wrapping up business as they host "Customer Appreciation Wednesdays."
Beginning this Wednesday, they will be offering a different special each week until the restaurants closure.
September 18th will feature $1 Milkshakes!!!!
September 25th-kids 12 and under eat for free!!!
October 2nd-get a free scoop of ice cream!!!
October 9th-wings are just 25 cents!!!!!
There will also be specials at the Trolley Car Ice Cream Shop next door before it closes for the season on September 29th with water ice scoops and cones for $1 and everything else on the menu for half off while supplies last.
On October 15th, the Trolley Car Diner will hold a silent auction to benefit their teacher fund which helps in aiding public school teachers and their education initiatives.
