Brunch with Brian

For the first time since doing this blog I met up with people who would share in my brunch adventure.

This past weekend, I met up with my friends from the Lehigh Valley, Michael & Angela to see "The Mystery Of Edwin Drood" at Steel River Playhouse in Pottstown which was nothing short of amazing!!!!

Before we got to see some live theatre, we decided to check out one of the local brunch places, Shorty's Sunflower Cafe on Route 663 heading into town.

Shorty's states on their website, "Good food starts with good ingredients" which is definitely fact when it comes to this "brunch place."

It's great to have friends share in your brunch experience beacuse we all got to try a little bit of everything!!!!!

I'm intrigued by the dishes on their menu. Next time I have to try their "Dirty Egg Roll" which is scrambled eggs, bbq ground beef, jack cheese and home fries on a flour tortillia.

For our visit, Michael & I tried "Shorty's Favorite", which is two eggs with kielbasa and home fries.

Angela had the "Popeye Omlette" with spinach, fresh tomato, olive oil and feta cheese.

We also shared a chocolate pancake which definitely satisfied our sweet tooth. On top of that, we had our choice of homemade bread. Their zucchini bread and homeade preserves are to die for.

So if you're making the visit to Pottstown, come check out the great tastes at Shorty's Sunflower Cafe.
