Adult Swim Festival Block Party Coming to Fishtown
The upcoming Adult Swim Festival Block Party in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia from Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7 will feature several signature food items and a limited edition beer inspired by Adult Swim and its hit shows.
“When we decided to host our event in Philly, it was important to spotlight on not only local musicians and artists, but also the vendors that make the city a foodie heaven,” said Jill King, senior vice-president of marketing and partnerships for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. “We know our fans will enjoy the Cheesesteak Pierogis.”
Several prominent food trucks will offer delicious delights to wow the crowd, including Dre’s Water Ice & Ice Cream (water ice), Calle Del Sabor (tacos), Mom Mom’s Nom Noms (Pierogies), and Dr. Wutzit’s WonderBalls (specialty dumplings).
At Punch Line Philly, fans can enjoy Doctor to Doctor Nachos featuring cheese, jalapeños, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream, or The Channel 5 Sampler offering chicken bites, cheesesteak dumplings, vegetable spring rolls, mozzarella sticks, and French fries.
At the Fillmore Philadelphia, attendees can enjoy Little Meat Wads featuring black garlic mayo, pork carnitas, roast beef, peppered pastrami, Swiss cheese, and sundried tomatoes on a brioche roll, or a Master Shake with strawberry, chocolate, salted caramel, oat milk, and vanilla soy ice cream.
At Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia, guests can enjoy Fried Robot Chicken, a grilled chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese, thick-cut bacon, ranch dressing, lettuce, and tomato with a side of French fries, or Just Pickle Fries: fried pickles served with chipotle ranch aioli.
Wendy’s® is coming to the party and bringing a human claw machine and exclusive treats! Select fans will get the chance to be lowered into a pit of prizes to grab from a variety of Rick and Morty swag. Making its East Coast debut at the Adult Swim Block Party, attendees can get their hands (and taste buds) on the limited-edition Pickle Rick Frosty® – a pickle twist on the iconic Frosty. Fans can also enjoy free samples from Wendy’s breakfast menu – Wubba Lubba Grub Grub!
On site to cool fans off and beat the summer heat, Klondike will be giving out free Klondike Cones. “What Would You Do?” to score one of these delicious and iconic treats? Just head to the Adult Swim Festival!
Adult Swim and Other Half Brewing are collaborating on a limited-edition pale ale, [adult beer], brewed at their new Fishtown location. The delicious new brew will be available for a limited time leading up to and during the Adult Swim Festival exclusively at the Other Half taproom and other festival locations including the Block Party’s official Beer Garden.
The Adult Swim Festival Block Party makes its Philadelphia debut from Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7 in the city’s popular Fishtown neighborhood with live music, comedy, live panels, outdoor screenings, food trucks, attractions, and much more at the Fillmore Philly, Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia, and Punch Line Philly.
