Morgan Wallen was just minutes away from taking the stage at his concert at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, on Sunday (4/23) when he canceled the show due to vocal issues. Morgan's fans were informed of the cancellation via an on-screen message moments before he was scheduled to perform, and several fans went to social media to express their anger for the short notice.
Wallen posted on his Insta stories, "After last night's show, I started losing my voice, so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor, and working through my vocal exercises, trying to get better. I really thought I'd be able to take the stage, and it kills me to deliver this so close to stage time, but my voice is shot, and I'm unable to sing. I'm so sorry. I promise you guys I tried everything I could."
Fans showed their anger over the cancelation on Twitter. Below are a handful of reactions from fans.

Last week (4/21), Morgan was playing a show at Kentucky's Yum! Center In Louisville last week (4/13) when he sang one of the last songs in his set, "Heartless," and took a nasty tumble on stage. Wallen did bounce right back up after the fall and didn't even miss a note in the song.
Morgan will join HARDY, Lainey Wilson, ERNEST, and Bailey Zimmerman to take the stage on the Topgolf green to raise money and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives in Texas on Wednesday, May 10, at Topgolf The Colony. The event will occur one day before the 58th ACM Awards on May 11. The ACM Awards will air live on Amazon Prime from Frisco, Texas.
He said in a statement, "ACM Lifting Lives does great work providing aid in times of need to folks inside and outside of the music industry. My band and I are excited to help them raise funds to continue doing this amazing work."
It is uncommon for a country music star to be born in Nashville, Tennessee. Most of them migrate to Music City to make their country music dreams come true. However, a handful of country stars were born in Nashville, and a few more come from the great state of Tennessee.
Garth, Reba, Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood are from Oklahoma, and Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and many more are from the Peach State of Georgia. Keith Urban was born in New Zealand and Lainey Wilson and Jordan Davis hail from Louisianna.
Let's look at those country stars who started in Tennessee, where Nashville dreams were just hours away.
