Jelly Roll Covers Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ at TidalWave Fest
TidalWave Fest is Atlantic City’s newest annual country music festival. They kicked off their 2nd-year last weekend with a massive, star-studded lineup. The weather was hot, but the country artists were even hotter! Major country artists such as Thomas Rhett, Jason Aldean, and Brooks & Dunn were all headliners of the 3-day festival.
Jelly Roll is country music’s newest obsession. He is a voice for the voiceless, and he is helping to change lives. Jelly Roll is a true country music star and is only just getting started. His newest single, “Need A Favor” is topping the charts. It’s the first time a song has reached the Top 10 on Billboard charts in country and rock music.
Currently, on his “Backroad Baptism Tour” tour, Jelly Roll made a pitstop in Atlantic City for TidalWave Fest over the weekend. The country singer performed on Sunday night, opening for the legendary duo, Brooks & Dunn. No one leaves a Jelly Roll concert disappointed. During his shows, you’ll hear music from all genres from country to rock to rap. Of course, he sings his own songs, such as, “Son of a Sinner” and “Need A Favor,” but you’ll also hear, The Animal’s “House of the Rising Son,” Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man,” and Biz Markie’s “Just A Friend.”
For most festival-goers, this was their first time experiencing Jelly perform live, so many of these covers were a surprise to hear. The one song that excited fans the most was Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” This was performed in a rap medley, along with songs like “Fancy” and “Ms. Jackson.”
