Post Malone Plans Country Covers At Stagecoach 2024
Post Malone is set to play Stagecoach 2024, and he is planning on doing a set of all country covers. He’s scheduled to perform on Saturday, April 27, a day that also includes Willie Nelson, Leon Bridges, Charley Crockett, Luke Grimes, and Asleep at the Wheel on the bill. Miranda Lambert is the headliner that day.
Stagecoach has been known to book artists outside of mainstream country music. Next year’s lineup will include the Beach Boys, Nickelback, Diplo, and Wiz Khalifa.
Posty is no stranger to country music. In 2022, he told Billboard that he intends to record a country album. He told the publication, “To be honest, there’s nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album.”
He went on to say that he splits his time between “a lot of different things” because he is “happily obligated” to do concerts and show love to his fans, and he feels the same about writing music and making “beats by myself.” He noted that if he gets “another year to myself,” he may make a country album.
Stagecoach 2024 will play out in Indio, California, and boasts a lineup that includes headliners Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Morgan Wallen. Miranda posted to Instagram yesterday (9/7), “Stagecoach 2024. Let’s do this y’all! Passes are on sale Friday, September 15 at 11 a.m. PT.”

Malone has never been shy about his love for country music; he posted a clip in August of 2022 to TikTok featuring a performance of Brad Paisley’s 2002 hit “ I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song).” The clip is from a fundraiser We’re Texas, an event organized by Matthew McConaughey to support the state of Texas following a devastating winter storm in February 2021.

Paisley praised Posty’s cover, saying, “This is better than me.” Paisley took it one step further and even changed out the bio on his TikTok page to read: “I write songs for Post Malone.”
In a follow-up video, Malone quickly responded to Paisley’s approval, “Brad, there’s no shot, man. I love you so f—in’ much, man; thank you for the love, dude. I owe you a beer, man. Text me; I’ll see you soon.”
