Post Malone To Make His Grand Ole Opry Debut
In just a few weeks (8/16), Post Malone’s long-awaited and much talked about F1 Trillion Country album will be out, and everyone can hear songs Postly did with Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Hank Williams Jr., Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, and many more.
Songs from the project have been coming out almost weekly, and Malone’s song with Morgan Wallen, “I Had Some Help,” has already topped the charts at country radio. The album features 13 different country superstars in original duets with Malone.
Post revealed the full-track list earlier this week, and today (8/2), he announced to his twenty-six million Instagram followers that The Grand Ole Opry has asked him to make his debut. He posted the news to Instagram, writing, “What an honor @opry. See y’all in the circle with my friends @bradpaisley, @laineywilson, @vincegillofficial, @thewarandtreaty, @johnmichaelmontgomery on 8/14.”
For those who don’t know, performing on the Grand Ole Opry is not something an artist can ask to do: you have to be invited by the Opry to play the historical stage.

Earlier this week, Luke Combs talked with CMT and confirmed what everyone suspected: Post Malone is a fun-loving, sweet guy. It actually shows when you watch him perform by how excited and happy he is.
Luke told CMT about his new duet buddy, “He’s so nice. He’s just an unbelievable guy. You can’t help but be happy around him, to be honest. He’s just in such a great mood all the time, at least when I’m around him. I’m sure he has his moments like everybody else. But, he’s just welcoming to anyone and everyone.”
Combs said writing songs with Malone is different. He offered, “Those songwriting sessions can be really, really fun, but I think sometimes here in Nashville, we can be so structured and rigid, like, ‘We’re writing at eleven o’clock, and we’re leaving by this time.’ It becomes this nine-to-five kind of job sometimes.”
Not with Posty. Luke explained that with Malone, they were starting at eight PM “at night,” and then a lot of times, “I’d leave at three or four in the morning.” He said at the end of the night, they had written four or five songs, and “we did that five or six times at least.”
Combs has two duets with Malone on his new country album, out on August 16th.
