Garth Brooks And Trisha Yearwood Get To Work
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are trading performing on The Strip in Las Vegas for days of strapping on toolbelts, wielding hammers, and working alongside other volunteers in Minneapolis-St. Paul this week as they lead this year’s Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project staged by Habitat for Humanity.
Garth said, “I can’t think of two things more loving than getting to play music and getting to build for Habitat,” Trisha admits, “We both are people who function at a high level of ‘busy’ – we like it,” adding, “Even when the hours are long, you’re putting your time into something you’re enjoying.”
The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project – something Trisha and Garth have been part of for years – is an annual event celebrating the impact the former President and First Lady have had on Habitat for Humanity’s mission around the world.
Over its 40-year history, the Carter Work Project has traveled to 14 countries to build homes and cast a global spotlight on the importance of affordable housing.
Trisha urges, “If you have a Habitat locally – they’re all over the country – find your Habitat and go volunteer. They’re always building. There’s always a need.”
She and Garth are continuing the Carters’ legacy as hosts of the annual undertaking – which this year takes place in a neighborhood on the East Side of St. Paul, Minnesota – the same week the former President turns 100 (today, October 1) and 11 months after the former First Lady passed at the age of 96.

After selling out all of his performances since opening in May 2023, Garth Brooks announced the final three weekends of his Las Vegas residency.
Tickets are now on sale for Garth’s last Las Vegas performances, taking place February 21 through March 9 of next year. Brooks said, “I can’t believe it has come and gone, already. The Caesars gig has been my favorite so far. No setlist, no rules – just the music and the listener come first. I love that!”
He added, “These last shows are going to be hard for me, emotionally, because I can’t stand the thought of this residency being over.”
Presales for Garth’s final three weekends – nine shows in all. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com/GarthVegas.
Tens of thousands have already experienced the unique experience Brooks has brought to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, each show proving to be truly unique – just as he hoped and envisioned they would be.
Details can be found on Garth’s website, garthbrooks.com. His existing concert schedule finds him returning to the stage in Las Vegas for several shows through October 13 and again from December 5 through 22.
