Watch: Jelly Roll, Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Kellyoke’ Performance
Jelly Roll performed in New York City with Kelly Clarkson this week for her show The Kelly Clarkson Show. The two performed “I’m Not Okay” together.
Kelly posted a video clip to Instagram of the two rehearsing the song together.
In the video, Jelly says, “You be Miss Clarkson, and I’ll be Jelly, and I think we’re gonna be all right.” Kelly says, “Kelly likes Jelly,” and Jelly says, “Jelly likes Kelly.” Jelly tells the camera, “I’m excited, and I’ll walk in, and I will be nervous. It’ll go straight from excitement to nerves.” Kelly explains, “We met at the Grammys. I had sung your song.” Jelly says, “Hold on. I went and fanned out on her. She ain’t gonna say that part, but I went down, and I said, ‘Miss Clarkson, I am such a fan,’ and when she turned around, she said, ‘Hey Jelly’ and I was like, ‘She knows me.'”
Clarkson said, “Are you kidding?” and then discussed how they would do the song together. After they sing a few bars, Kelly tells Jelly, “This song is so good,” and he replies, “Thank you.” She then says, “I’m excited he’s allowing me to sing on his song, ‘I’m Not Okay,’ it’s so so good.” Then, they start to rehearse once again and Jelly says, “You make a dream come true?”
Clarkson says of Jelly Roll, “I’m just a huge fan I love authenticity I love real messages, and I think that really matters.” The two hug, and Kelly says thank you and that he’s a great hugger.

Next month for the first time in his career, Jelly Roll is up for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award at the CMA Awards. In a recent interview, Jelly was asked what the award meant to him among his other nominations.
Jelly said, “I don’t want to win Entertainer of the Year. I wanna win Collab of the Year, I wanna win Event of the Year.'”
Jelly explained that when he was nominated for “these four awards,” he called his publicist, and I said, ‘I don’t know how this works, but do we campaign for one?'”
He continued that his publicist then asked him, “Well, which one do you want to win, besides Entertainer of the Year?” He replied that he didn’t want the top award.
The country superstar said that his song “Save Me” meant so much to him, and it was the song that did it. It was the song that changed his whole life, then went on to the radio and changed his life again.
He continued that it’s four years later, and the song has helped millions of people, and he’s winning an award for it. He noted, “I’m like, ‘Get out, this is crazy.'”
The CMA Awards will be handed out live from Nashville on November 20.
