Carrie Underwood: Rumors Of Her NFL Pay May Be Exaggerated
Carrie Underwood has been part of Sunday Night Football for over ten years now, and she gets paid quite well for her video performance, which is played before every game on Sunday night on NBC.
Her performance has been a major highlight of NFL broadcasting, continuing a legacy started by another country superstar, Faith Hill.
Underwood is now in her 10th season as the Sunday Night Football performer. She surely makes a lot of money for the video that proceeds Sunday Night Football, in which she sings a reworked version of Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself For Loving You” called “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night.”
A website called Sports Keeda has claimed that Carrie makes a whopping $1 million each week and since she began working for Sunday Night Football, she’s made about $18 million a season for her performance. However, Carrie debunked the story a few years ago in an interview. She seemed surprised that anyone would think that she made that much. Of course, she may have been acting coy, because she doesn’t want everyone to know how much she’s making. But we don’t really know what she makes from the NFL.

Anyway, Sunday Night Football is far from her only income source. Underwood recently announced the final performances of her production at Resorts World Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas in 2025. Underwood will present three final performances of “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” on April 9, 11 & 12, 2025, concluding her reign as the venue’s first and longest-running headliner.

Carrie said, “I have absolutely loved performing in Las Vegas over the past three years. I am so proud of the ‘Reflection’ production, which is truly one of my favorite shows to perform.”
She added, “It’s been so special to reflect on the greatest hits that have defined my career so far and to get to share them with the fans that come to Vegas from all over the world.”
