Ocean City's annual OC CON Comic Book and Memorabilia Show returns for the weekend of April 5 and 6. This year, in addition to the show itself, the event will include a one-mile Super Hero Run and a Super Hero running event for children ages 12 and younger.
The one-mile Super Hero Run begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, on the Boardwalk at the Music Pier. An out-and-back course will go down the Boardwalk. Entry in the one-mile event entitles all participants ages 12 and younger to join the Super Hero running events at 9:30 a.m. at the Music Pier.
Race-day registration runs from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace, and the Boardwalk.
Super Hero Run registration fees are $15 for ages 13 and older and $10 for ages 12 and younger through April 3. Race-day registration is $20 for ages 13 and older and $15 for ages 12 and younger. Registration for those 12 and younger includes the one-mile run and kids' distances.
Obstacle Dash registration fees are $10 for ages 12 and younger through April 3. Race-day registration is $15.
This year's OC CON promises plenty of activities for comic book collectors and memorabilia enthusiasts. The event will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ocean City Music Pier, 825 Boardwalk.
This year's OC CON comic book artists will feature Bob Petrecca, Luke Petrecca, Neil Vokes, Tony Digerolamo, Garland Holloman of Galica Graphics, and Niko Lopez. Special guest appearances will include Kevin D Cosplay (Sunday only), Dawnchu (Sunday only), Shannon Noelle Cosplay (Sunday only), and Yoshi.Mitsuko. Guests will also be able to snap photos of the DeLorean time machine, The Tumbler, and The Batpod on exhibit.
