Andie Summers’ Favorite Disney World Moments
My favorite thing about coming to Disney is watching families see Cinderella’s Castle for the first time. So many of the folks walking through gates have saved or waited their whole lives for this moment and it truly is magical. Their faces light up like the sun when they see the castle. It takes their breath away and it brings me so much joy. That – and the Flight of Passage ride in Pandora at the Animal Kingdom. That ride also brings me joy. And the food at Disney. It’s really good. Oh, and the fact that I walk 15,000 steps every day I’m here, so I can eat ALL of the great food. I’m sure there are more favorite things, but I was only allowed to choose one.

My favorite moment as a kid at Disney was meeting Woody and Buzz, my two favorite Disney characters. I may have been 15 years old at the time, but even at that age, I felt like a little kid again. Now, as a parent, it’s amazing to see our daughter, McKinley, at only six months old, taking in the magic that is DisneyWorld. I know she will not remember this trip but the look on her face is something that I will never forget.

I am totally a rollercoaster gal. Show me a rollercoaster that goes sideways, backward, or upside down and I’m in! Some of my favorite rides are right in Disney World. Whenever I’m in Animal Kingdom, I’m going on Expedition Everest at least twice. My newest favorite is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It’s an indoor rollercoaster and each time you go on it is a different experience because you listen to a different song from the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack each time!
