After an almost two week vacation to Italy, I'm back and couldn't wait to share 15 amazing pictures of my Italy vacation to Rome, Tuscany, Florence and Venice. To say it was magical is an understatement. To be real, it was also exhausting. My best friend Diana planned the WHOLE trip! We left on Tuesday April 25th flying out of JFK and flew home from Venice on Saturday May 7th into Philly. It was great to fly back into Philly because it's awful when you fly home after a long trip and still have to drive two hours home.
We landed in Rome Wednesday morning around 7am and had a car pick us up from the airport. There was 5 of us total - me, Diana, Christine, Jamie and Joe. We had a super easy time going through customs and got the Air BnB around 8:30a. We couldn't check in until 10:30a so we sat outside at a cafe and enjoy some coffee and treats. After we checked in around 10:30a we napped because I can't sleep on planes and flying overnight is brutal. In Rome we did the all the places, Trevi Fountain (yes we threw coins), Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Pantheon Vatican.
On Saturday we took a day trip to Pompeii (volcanic ruins), Sorrento (lemons the size of your head), and Positano. Which is like the shore of Rome. Ha. Sunday we hoped on the train from Rome to Tuscany. Our villa is over 400 years old and still run by the family. The town is close to Cortona where the book and movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" is based and was filmed. We rented a car and drove to Assisi and Perugia, which is where all the Amanda Knox drama happened and I didn't realize until after we left! I was so mad. Tuesday we drove to Florence, where we saw the Duomo, Statue of David, and Ponte Vecchio.
Thursday we took the train from Cortona to Florence to Venice. I still can't believe Venice is a real place. I am still in awe. For even more pics click here.

I still can't believe Venice is a real place. It felt like a movie set.

Part of Venice and it felt like it was built to be a real life Instagram backdrop.
