He’s finally talking. 7 surprises we learned from Morgan Wallen’s new Billboard interview. In his first interview in over 2 years, Morgan Wallen sat down with Billboard to talk about his record breaking year. He broke so many records, sold out so many shows, and with all that still didn’t win a CMA.

Morgan cleaned up at Billboard Music Awards earlier this month. He won 11 trophies, including top male artist, top Hot 100 artist and top country artist, as well as top Hot 100 song for “Last Night” and top Billboard 200 album for One Thing at a Time — the first time a male artist did it since Usher in 2004. He dominates basically all the country charts with numerous songs over the past year.

He also shaved off his famous mulled. Morgan took the stage in Columbus, OH a few months ago wearing a red baseball hat and at first people thought he dyed his hair blonde, but the closer they looked they realized he actually shaved his head and he’s bald. Morgan sang a few songs until he stopped to address the crowd about the elephant in the room. He kept it pretty short by saying: “Before we get any further, I didn’t like my long hair anymore so I shaved it off.”

He also he finally announced the new date of his postponed show in Philly. The original show date, June 17, 2023, was postponed along with a handful of other dates after Morgan was ordered by doctors to go on vocal rest. A bunch of the other shows that were postponed had their rescheduled dates announced a while back, but us Philly fans have been waiting for what seems like forever. Morgan will be joined on this date by special guests Parker McCollum and ERNEST. He postponed then rescheduled his Hershey Park Stadium date to May 9, 2024, so we were hoping that his new Philadelphia date would be around then. Since he’s performing at Citizens Bank Park, he had to wait for Major League Baseball to know the schedule for next season since the Phillies take priority.

Check out 7 surprises we learned from Morgan Wallen’s interview with Billboard below.

It’s just like, man, I mean a lot to this person, I can tell. I try to tell them, ‘Hey, I saw you up there. I saw you tonight.’ ”
