Country Star Tweets From Early In The Pandemic: Luke, Brad + More

March 2020 was a crazy time as the pandemic began, and everything started getting canceled and postponed. To make things worse, in the first few days of March, a deadly tornado swept across Middle Tennessee and caused widespread damage in Nashville, hundreds of injuries, and 25 fatalities. Country stars like Miranda Lambert and others started to get together and help the tornado victims when the pandemic began.

Also in country music, country icon Kenny Rogers died in March of 2020, as did Joe Diffie, who died of complications from COVID-19.

As we think back to when the world truly changed forever, we gathered some tweets from country superstars from the month when the world changed.

Luke was touring and working on new music when the pandemic began in March 2020 just a few days after his birthday. He tweeted on March 24, 2020, "Here's @ChrisStapleton's "What Are You Listening To" for @MorganWallen's #DeepCutsChallenge. Chris, I'm sorry I messed up the bridge, but I hope y'all enjoy it. I challenge @VGcom."

Brad quickly adjusted to being home during the pandemic, embraced Zoom for songwriting, and even surprised fans now and then by joining their Zoom birthday parties. He Tweeted on March 26, 2020, "The state of Tennessee asked us to do a PSA to encourage people to #stayhome, and it went flawlessly. We are highly trained smooth talkin' professionals. #socialdistancing #tnstayapart."

Kacey used a lot of her sense of humor to get through the tough months that followed in March 2020. She tweeted on March 11, 2020 what we were all thinking, "Let's protect @DollyParton at all costs."

Then on March 17, 2020, she tweeted - "Corona has really made me realize.. how many corporate emails I need to unsubscribe from."

Blake and his then-girlfriend Gwen Stefani went to Shelton's Oklahoma farm to spend much of the pandemic. Gwen became Blake's new barber at the time. Blake tweeted on March 17, 2020 - "I have an announcement. With basically EVERYTHING I had scheduled being canceled for the foreseeable future, @gwenstefani and I have made a decision together. I am growing my mullet back as a symbol of hope or some s--- like that. Anyway, it's coming back! For real. Stay tuned..."

He tweeted a week later, on March 26, 2020, "Quarantine mullet update 3/26/2020... @gwenstefani has decided to take it to the next level. Stripes."

Kane showed his sense of humor in the early days of the pandemic. On March 13, 2020, he tweeted, "My hands dry as hell from washing and hand sanitizing every 30 mins."

Russell showed off his never-ending sense of humor and fun to lighten the mood in the early days of the pandemic. He joke tweeted on March 18, 2020, "This feels like a 6-week sleepover."
