First Ed Sheeran performed with Luke Combs on the AMC’s, then they did a video of them shotgunning a beer, and now Ed is very close to making his own country album. Keith Urban is from Australia so why can’t Ed do a country album from United Kingdom? He’s from a small town, so it makes sense.
Luke Combs on how his performance with Ed at the ACM’s happened: “His team reached out to mine actually and was like, hey Ed’s wanting to perform an ACM’s, he’s gonna be in Dallas, and he asked if I would want to do the song with him, and obviously I said yes, so it was a great time.”
It went so well they clearly needed to make a recorded version. Luke said: “[After] Ed reached out to me about doing the song together on the ACMs, I was really excited about the prospects of doing that, and after we decided that’s what we’re gonna do and he reached out again and was like ‘Man, why don’t you just throw your voice on it, and we’ll put a version out.’”
Also, in case you missed it, Ed stopped by Philip’s Steaks in South Philadelphia last Saturday before his show at The Linc where he learned to cook an authentic Philly cheesesteak. “It’s cheesesteak time,” he yelled as he drove past fans.
Ed chose a more unknown spot in Philly, which is so awesome. He introduces the owners, Philip and Joseph Baldino, who walked Edbthrough all the steps to making a perfect Philly cheesesteak. Joseph explains that the filling is “slabs of ribeye.” Philip jumps in telling Sheeran, “I’ll show you how to make the first one, then you can make the next one,” as he begins assembling the sandwich.
