Jason Aldean had a show at Xfinity Center in Hartford Connecticut Saturday night when he ran off the stage in the middle of the show and never returned!
Concertgoers were saying the heat was insane on Saturday night and I’m sure with the heat, smoke, lights, and playing a show, which is physically demanded, it was just too hot for Jason to continue. Kudos to him for knowing he wasn’t feeling well and leaving when he knew he couldn’t continue.
Definition of Heat Stroke from the CDC:
Heat stroke is the most serious heat-related illness. It occurs when the body can no longer control its temperature: the body’s temperature rises rapidly, the sweating mechanism fails, and the body is unable to cool down. When heat stroke occurs, the body temperature can rise to 106°F or higher within 10 to 15 minutes.
How to Prevent Heat Stroke from the CDC:
Drink enough water or other cool (non-alcoholic) liquids. Don’t wait until you are thirsty, many times at that point it’s too late. Also, check with your doctor if you are on limited fluids or fluid pills. Plan ahead, stay cool, and keep air circulating around you. Avoid hot and heavy meals, instead go for a salad.
Jason Aldean is currently on tour this summer and Philadelphia’s concert date is when he is at Tidalwave with Thomas Rhett and Brooks and Dunn on the beach in Atlantic City Friday, August 11, Saturday, August 12, and Sunday, August 13. The reason the Tidalwave Festival in Atlantic City is considered the “Philadephia” show is because of the “radius clause.” It means the same performer can’t perform within a 60-mile radius for 6 months. Live Nation is the concert promoter and they put on Jason’s tour and Tidalwave, so they are considering Tidalwave Festival Jason’s Philadelphia Tour stop.
Wishing all the best and a very speedy recovery to Jason Aldean. I can’t even imagine being so sick that you have to run off stage in the middle of a concert. He’s been performing for a long time so he must have been very ill. Hopefully, he continues his tour soon.
