I can't believe this is real. NSYNC reunites for a performance at Justin Timberlake's pop-up show in Los Angeles last night. What's even crazier, I have NUMEROUS friends who were there. And not just causal friends. My best friend Joe, my other BFF Colleen, and close friend Raph and Brent!
Last Fall, NSYNC put out a brand new song in almost 20 years called "Better Place" for the Trolls 3 movies. Each member has a role, obviously, Justin Timberlake being the biggest since he's Branch. Joey Fatone: Plays Ablaze JC Chasez: Plays Hype Lance Bass: Plays Boom, Chris Kirkpatrick: Plays Trickee. The song did fairly well and after they showed up at the MTV VMA's everyone was convinced an NSYNC Tour was coming. Unfortunately, that never happened. Instead, Justin announced his new album Everything I Thought It Was, and a new single "Selfish." He also announced a solo World Tour, with no stops in Philly yet, just Hershey. Hopefully, the Philly stop will be when he announces the NSYNC World Tour. Ha.
Last night he did a pop-up show in Los Angeles. He did one in Memphis, his hometown. One in NYC, and he's doing one in London too. He definitely is trying to create hype, which I get, and nothing creates hype like a boy band reuniting. Justin has been a little meh lately with fans. First, after everything that went down with Britney Spears and then obviously the cheating rumors. Let me preface that they were only rumors and he and Jessica Biel look very happy so hopefully everything has smoothed over. However, I do agree the Justin buzz isn't the same and he wanted NYSNC to help create it. I don't get why NSYNC just doesn't do a reunion tour. People would GO NUTS for it. It would be like the Ears Tour.
Travis Kelce was also there, but unfortunately, Taylor wasn't. Check out the amazing performances below and let's all manifest we get an NSYNC Tour soon!
Justin Timberlake Performs "Mirrors" At Special Show in LA
After the NSYNC surprise, Justin closed the show with is mega popular hit "Mirrors" who was written about his wife Jessica Biel. I think we all agree that NSYNC should have closed the show, but Justin is Justin so he closed it alone. He did sound and look fantastic.
Travis Kelce Was There Too
Unfortunately Taylor Swift was not with him, but Travis was there with friends having a great time. I honestly think that if she would have went, her being there with Travis, would have been a bigger story than NSYNC reuniting. I really think she knows her celebrity and told Travis to go and enjoy. Justin Timberlake was at her birthday party a few years ago and Travis played with Justin in a few celebrity golf tournaments with Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Fallon.
The Crowd Was in Shock
This is my friend Raph's video, I woke up to all the texts from him and he was still in shock. Ha. I can't believe they opened the show with "Gone." It's literally one of my favorite songs of all time. It really shows just how incredible Justin and JC really sound. Please go on tour NYSNC!
Even Celebrities Were Losing Their Mind
Chrissy Teiegen was losing her mind. Which I get because I would have been doing the same if I was there. Remember when Taylor Swift was with them on stage the VMA's this past year and she kept saying, What is happening? Are you are planning something? Is something happening? Ha!
Performing "It's Gonna Be Me"
They still look and sound so insanely good. I did see a few tweets that said, wait are we sure this isn't the actual CD? Haha! JC always had such an incredible voice, I do wonder what happened that his career didn't take off like we all hoped it would.
They Performed Their New Song "Paradise"
They released a new song "Better Together" for the Trolls 3 soundtrack in the Fall and now they have a new song call "Paradise" that is featured on Justin Timberlake's new album "Everything I Thought It Was"
NSYNC Performs Bye Bye Bye
Can you imagine seeing NSYNC perform "Bye Bye Bye" in 2024? I still can't believe my best friends were there! They work for Live Nation so it makes sense they got to go, but man I wish I was able to go as well.
Never Gets Old
They all look and sound amazing. They didn't do any choreography though, which makes sense because that would have probably take alot of time and training. They were in LA all week rehearsing, so that's cool they took it very seriously.
